Finals Week

Finals week in a nutshell:

99¢

As I'm sure most people in my family are aware of.....Sunday is 99¢ day at Goodwill!  I went with the intentions of buying my sister, Alyssa, some shirts for her job.  I found 5 for $5!  And of course, I can't go there without finding something for myself.  It's an addiction, but at least it's a cheap addition haha.....this is what I got:

New York & Company black tank - 99¢
H & M long tan t-shirt sweater - 99¢
New York & Company crochet tan sweater - 99¢
New York & Company royal blue 3/4 sleeve sweater - 99¢ (My favorite find today!)
A Territory Away (I think that's the label) olive green long turtleneck sweater - 99¢
Has anyone else every had any really, REALLY awesome Goodwill finds?

Happy Sunday!

5 Years ♥

♥ 5 Years Together!

Weekend Fun

This past weekend I went home and I had lots of fun with my family.....shopping, lunch (with my Auntie Pam), and more!

One of my favorite stores, Joe Fresh! It's finally come to Indiana, I don't have to go to NYC for it anymore!

Target....my favorite!

Mom..... couldn't help but add this!

And of course, Goodwill!  My favorite!  I'm a thrift shopper at heart :)

All my Goodwill goodies!  Mom and I got 3 full shopping bags for only $4!  50% off everything + gift card.  Woohoo!

I got: 1 pair green Mossimo pants, 1 pair jeans, 1 pair brown Mossimo capris, one pair white capris, one long sleeve orange Old Navy sweater, and two vests, one gray and one green.  I love a good bargain!  And on Sunday, my mom, dad, and I went to visit my oldest sister, Kym, and we went for a run and got some quality time with her two fur balls, and later joined my other sister, Alyssa, and her bf, Matt, for breakfast.  How cute is Nala?!

And of course, an outfit!  I particularly liked this outfit, so I thought I would add it in :)

I'm wearing: Jeans (Forever21), White collared tank top (Century21), Orange sweater (Forever21), Patterned scarf (Meijer), and Rose-gold watch (Kohls).

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! :)

Tin Caps

Yesterday, my mom and I went to watch my boyfriend, Jake, play the National Anthem at the Fort Wayne Tin Caps baseball game.  He's been playing violin from some fifteen years now and has been a professional for years.....his talent is AMAZING!

At the Game....was a little cold and rainy.

Proud girlfriend right here!

And of course....the video! Sorry it's a little shaky, it was cold!

O-Chem is No-Chem

This week has been quite the uphill challenge!  Let's begin by talking about Organic Chemistry.  I like to call it "The Monster," because it's every pre-med student's worst nightmare, it's extremely terrifying, and painful.  It doesn't help that the whole Organic Chemistry sequence is a whopping three semesters long!  Thankfully, I've made it to the last course, Organic Chemistry Lab (which is a full FOUR hours every week!), just barely unscathed.  It's only by some miracle that I've made it thus far......Organic Chemistry is like this: the problems are made up, the reactions don't matter, and everything is hypothetical and has no real life application.  This is how I've felt in O-Chem for the last 2 years of my life.....

On a side note, I spent over 12 hours these past two days working on a project for my business class, The Computer In Business.  12 hours = 10 points, I don't see the rationale there, does anyone see the rationale there?  Anyways, this week has been trying to say the least.  I also just downloaded this really snazzy Excel spreadsheet that lets me input things such as my GPA, science GPA, MCAT score, etc. and shows me which medical schools would actually want me! :)

Let's talk about something more fun....fashion!  I love fashion just as much as the next girl, and I cannot get enough.  I could shop all day, everyday of my life and never get tired of it.  Something about shopping is calming, they don't call it Retail Therapy for nothing!

Outfit from last weekend when Mom and sis were visiting!

I hope everyone has had a great week so far! :)

Words to Live By

Hello There!

Hello, all!  I was starting to feel rather left out with my sister, Kym (at Red, White & Marine Wife), and my other sister, Alyssa (at Sharing Life's Delights), both blogging!  I thought I would join in on the fun, and use this blog for my family, especially, to stay in touch with me while I'm off at school.  I'm an IU student, actively pursuing the pre-medical route, with hopes of someday being heart surgeon.  My life experiences have led me thus far and continue to propel me towards my end goal.  Now, don't get me wrong, pre-med is no walk in the park!  My college experience is the most difficult thing I have have done thus far, and will only continue to bring great challenges for me in the future.  A little about me though - I'm a simple person, and I value organization and simplicity in my life.  I often feel like a 30-something by way of my responsibilities and personality.  I look forward to using this blog as a way of sharing all things fashion, traveling, thrift shopping, family, school, and whatever else comes to mind!
